While the industry focuses on global automation and operation optimizations, we focus on the mariner. We aim to build powerful, accessible tools that help the people behind the operations navigate a safer, more efficient future.
We believe the maritime industry's rapid digitization has left the navigator's core tasks behind. Our mission is to create powerful, cost-efficient tools that empower the next generation of maritime experts. We are not just building software; we are starting a movement to bring accessibility and collaboration to maritime technology. With your support, we can build a tool that fundamentally improves the lives of my fellow mariners and makes our seas safer.

My name is Viktor Kolbasov, and as a former voyage planning officer, I’ve spent countless hours on the critical and time-consuming task of planning safe sea routes. Even with modern tools, the process is largely manual and complex. I saw that the rich data within Electronic Navigational Charts was not being used to its full potential. This realization became the foundation for my work.
Technology must serve the mariner. Our mission is to automate routine tasks and simplify complex workflows, freeing officers to focus on critical decision-making. We harness the power of Machine Learning to bring a new generation of intelligent solutions to the bridge—all designed for offline use to ensure reliability where it matters most.
Route Assistant is our first project, designed to eliminate the tedious manual work that has defined voyage planning for decades. We are placing powerful data analysis and automation tools directly into the hands of maritime professionals. By leveraging modern Machine Learning, we see an incredible chance to unite the maritime and data science fields. Our platform provides data scientists with access to structured Electronic Navigational Chart (ENC) datasets, allowing them to share their expertise with the maritime community to build more efficient and robust automated solutions. Crucially, every tool we design is built for the realities of life at sea—including the critical need for offline capability—transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights. This empowers the next generation of maritime experts to navigate with greater safety and efficiency.
Quickly compute the safest, most efficient paths using advanced algorithms like A* and Dijkstra.
Transform ENC (S-57) data into a clear, obstacle-free navigable space.
Provides a feature-rich dataset designed for Machine Learning workflows, allowing researchers and data scientists to apply AI without mastering the complex S-57 format
The development of Vector Nautical open-source tools is now powered by our community. We have moved our fundraising to Open Collective to ensure full financial transparency as we build the next generation of maritime tools.
Your contributions directly fund the development of Nautical-Graph-Toolkit (the fundamental layer of Route Assistant) and our mission to make the seas safer and more efficient for every mariner.
