My name is Viktor Kolbasov, and as a former voyage planning officer, I’ve spent countless hours on the critical and time-consuming task of planning safe sea routes. Even with modern tools, the process is largely manual and complex. I saw that the rich data within Electronic Navigational Charts was not being used to its full potential. This realization became the foundation for my work.

Route Assistant is our first project, designed to eliminate the tedious manual work that has defined voyage planning for decades. By leveraging modern Machine Learning, we see an incredible chance to unite the maritime and data science fields. Our platform provides data scientists with access to structured Electronic Navigational Chart (ENC) datasets, allowing them to share their expertise with the maritime community to build more efficient and robust automated solutions.
